Olivet Gardener Receives Community Service Award from Employer!

Jack Wood, the Olivet Community Garden Gardener received an annual award from Scheels, Inc his employer recently for all his efforts in making the Olivet Refugee Community Garden Project the huge success it has become. Congratulations Jack!

A June Message from Gardener Jack!

We should begin to start our harvest at the beginning of August.

Our challenge in June and July will be to keep our plot weed free and to train our tomatoes.

With the rain that we have received the past month we will have a very bountiful harvest.

Week of May 5th - 11th

This previous week we made the paths between the plots and prepared the plots in the Olivet Community Garden. This week we will be planting the Potatoes, Corn, and Beans.

We will have a table set up in the Narthex April 27, May 4 and May 11 in
the Narthex between services. Visit with us to find out how you can help.

The Olivet Refugee/Community Garden Project needs the following:

Garden Tools Hoes, Shovels, Rakes

Bus Drivers Pick up families at 4:30 bring back at 8 PM

Meal Preparation Prepare meal by 6 PM

Activities Help assist with children
